UPDATE INFO about Generations of Grace: Our curriculum

In a couple of days the following post will be put on the ekidzministry page.
I wanted you to get the information first.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks!!

The Children's Bible curriculum we are using
at Emmanuel Baptist Church is called
Generations of Grace

There are several reasons this curriculum was chosen
Biblically Driven
God-centered
Christ exalting
Family focused/Unified
You can read more about what each of these mean at

After using the curriculum for 3 years
we have come to realize there are some weaknesses.
difficulty of some crafts
lack of full color resources
difficult material for some of the age groups
how to teach the same lesson at 9:00 and 10:30

The revised edition coming this summer will include the following
pictures of completed crafts
sets of full color illustrations
new activities, games and illustration ideas
two age appropriate teaching outlines

You can more about the curriculum at

One of the new parts of the curriculum I am especially excited about
is the Family Devotional

The Family Devotional provides five daily devotionals that correspond with each lesson in the teacher book.
It was created to make children’s ministry what children’s ministry should be—
a way to equip and encourage parents to fulfill their duty to train up their children in the Lord.
Each daily devotional indicates the portion of the passage to be read, provides concise insights into the passage,
and suggests questions and discussion ideas, some simple for young children and
others requiring a lot of thought for older children and adults.
It also includes pictures illustrating the lesson.
