- How is God’s view of man different from ours?
Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
- By examining his heart and learning what pleases the Lord.
- By not judging others based on their outward appearance.
Memory verse:
2 year olds through kindergarten:
“‘Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice’” (1 Samuel 15:22).
1st through 5th grade:
“But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart’” (1 Samuel 16:7).
