BE STRONG
In our EKIDZ ministry we are going to be using the theme "Be Strong"
This basic idea is designed to be a kid-accessible and foundational part of our church wide theme.
We can take the Word to the World because of the strength we have in the LORD.
NO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED only Disciple makers
I shared that serving in the church is more than volunteering and it definitely is not "putting in my church."
We want those ministering to understand a disciple maker is someone growing in their relationship with God and desiring to help others grow.
Is your ministry marked by a desire to share the truth of the Gospel or to somehow earn God's blessing in my life.
OUR CHURCH'S MISSION
This kid level form of our mission statement has been shared with teachers and the 1st grade through 5th grade, in an effort to help them understand the role of the church.
SOME EXAMPLES FROM CLASSES
Here is an example of a craft that caught everyone's eye.
Pre-Kindergarten
Giant Ears. "He who ears let him hear."
Crafts that draw people's attention to what the children were learning on Sunday are great.
The 1st through 3rd graders are usually in the first part of the service. We the children to see the church worshiping. While they may not get every word of every song but they are seeing their parents and other adults singing praise to God.
Hands on types of activities are great. Amy B. taught the parable of the soils using soil.
Kindergarten boys love dirt.
We have been trying to connect lessons to opportunities for parents to talk with their children about God's Word and Jesus Christ.
This includes special events like this year's Christmas Eve service.
Fuzzy Slippers remind us that it is better to give than to receive.
